DEER AND RABBIT WIRE FENCE GALLERY
Deer and rabbit wire is the perfect fence to keep out those pesky varmints and provide a perimeter enclosure for country properties. This mesh can also be used with other materials to provide an attractive open fence for residential or commercial applications. These fences keep out deer effectively and specific deer and rabbit meshes have smaller openings at the bottom of the fence that will help keep out small animals like rabbits and racoons.
Typically this fence is built with 6’ tall wire mesh and two to three strands of barbless or barbed wire for a finished height of 8’ tall. There is also 8’ tall deer and rabbit wire available for certain applications.
The variety of post and rail materials for this wire fence can also create an appealing frame for this fence type giving it a more upscale look. Pressure treated lodge poles with painted steel t-post for the line posts are the most commonly used posts and brace points because of their economical pricing. Other available choices are pressure treated douglas fir, construction heart redwood and galvanized or untreated steel. Rails can also be used to give either a more charming look or provide a practical purpose. Pressure treated fir, construction heart redwood or corral boards are often used for this purpose.
So just because you are installing a "plain old deer fence" doesn’t mean it can’t be pretty.
NOTE: We also have a framing system with untreated steel pipe and untreated t-posts that qualifies for fencing for organic vineyards.
