Custom steel fabrication is a lot of fun for us because we enjoy collaborating with our clients to create a design that is always a unique and personal statement of our homeowners. Often our customers will be asked to stop by to approve specific details giving them a feeling of being part of the creative process which they find very satisfying. We enjoy the many challenges involved in fabricating custom steel designs. The ideas we and our clients have come up with over the years have always been a pleasant surprise. Steel is such a versatile and dramatic material to work with!

We also use a variety of coatings for these projects - simple rusted looks, bare steel cleaned and sealed, primed and painted finishes and wonderful powder-coatings that last for years.

The owner of the company, Ron Wooden has built everything from steel-hulled fishing boats, hand-made equipment of every description, client’s patented ideas, frames for artist’s stained glass creations, huge bird cages and experienced the fun of fabricating projects for different movies and television shows such as "Overboard", "Racing with the Moon" and "Murder She Wrote". His son Wil, considered by many a budding artist working in steel, has been working and welding for Arbor Fence since he was a young teenager. He started working with power tools when he was only six years old. He has taken over running the steel fabrication and gate operator department for Arbor Fence in the last few years following in his father’s footsteps. Wil loves to weld and taking on the challenge of new concepts and design ideas!
